Dangote Group to invest $12bn in Nigerian economy – business – News – StarAfrica.com

Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Group Aliko Dangote says he will invest $12 billion in the Nigerian economy.

Dangote said in his Eid-el-Kabir message issued in Lagos on Saturday that out of this amount, $2.3 billion would be invested in sugar and rice production in Adamawa State in northern Nigeria to create about 180, 000 jobs and combat terrorism in the North-East of the country.

According to the statement, Dangote will also invest $4 billion in other parts of Africa in the next five years.
